Today’s civil and criminal ID management applications such as driving licences, immigration, passport control, ID cards and criminal investigations commonly operate on a multi-million scale.  Similarly, the gaming and leisure industries, which have for years relied on “watch lists” face a growing challenge as such lists and databases grow in magnitude.  Managing this growth whilst still maintaining operational speed, accuracy, efficiency and customer service is critical.

To address this challenge, OmniPerception now delivers Colossus™, the one-to-many face recognition solution for next-generation applications involving very large numbers. Powered by OmniPerception’s famous Affinity™ face recognition technology, Colossus™ is the ultimate facial biometric search engine, providing unprecedented speed and accuracy at multi-million scale.  A target or suspect face is loaded into Colossus™ and the system then searches through many millions of faces in the database to find and match the target face, typically in less than three seconds.

Colossus™ also offers a simple to use HTML interface which allows the user to:

• Create, remove, update and delete subjects  
• Create, remove, update and delete images 
• Add images to specified sub-set watch lists
• Conduct ID searches based on customer-selected criteria:
      o Gender, Ethnic Group, Age Range
      o Single Algorithm or Fusion Method
      o Watchlist owner
