Omni Labs - Person Detection & Tracking

Using our own pattern recognition algorithms, we have developed something which can detect and track someone - in real-time - based only on the pattern of their clothing!

In the video demo here, we've tracked one person based only on the logo on thier T-shirt. You can see that the person doesn't need to be on constant view to be tracked. As he walks down the street, he is momentarily hidden from view, but we will detect them again once he comes back into view. Also, at the start of the sequence, the logo on his T-shirt is pretty small, but we still find it, and track it!

This technology has been used by UK Police Forces to help identify people during the Aug 2011 London riots.

Policing or surveillance – covertly follow a suspect across a city without needing to deploy resources.
Missing people – detecting missing people through distinctive clothing.
