Omni Labs - Xeno™ Real-Time Face Tracking

Xeno™ uses Automatic Face Detection and Tracking technology that can be applied to the moving image industry and television broadcasting.

All Xeno™ needs is to detect a face and the system will ‘lock’ on it and will track it wherever it goes, every time it moves.

In the demo below, we show how we can track, in real-time, a moving head. We have used our face detection and tracking algorithms to do this quick demo. In this example, we have marked the position of each eye and started to track the position of his face.
At the end of the video, we have linked the position of the head to control the PTZ of a broadcast camera. You can see how even as the face on the pendulum swings, we have kept his head in the frame... easy!

Applications and Markets

Broadcasting – tracking presenter’s head, tracking an athlete's head or making the faces of two interviewees appear at exactly the same height.
Online or Offline – tracking someone’s face in a crowd.
