Facial Recognition Applications
With the introduction of new digital Passports and ID Cards, facial biometrics is becoming increasingly important in the establishment and verification of an individual’s true identity. Even where automatic facial recognition is not yet in use, accurate and reliable facial imaging techniques are an essential part of most national identity programmes. OmniPerception’s automatic facial biometric and imaging products provide a range of solutions to fulfill these needs - supporting private, commercial, national and international identity management programmes.
OmniPerception’s Affinity™ Facial Imaging Tools (the AFIT™ suite of products) and Colossus™ large scale search engine system deliver effective solutions for all face-based enrolment, verification and identification processes. The unique OmniPerception AFIT™ suite is available as an integrated solution, as an Affinity™ Software Development Kit (SDK) or as separate applications:
AFIT.QA™ - The complete software solution for facial image capture; ensuring that images taken are fit for purpose. AFIT.QA™ software is integrated with imaging booths or other installed camera systems to give “right first time” facial image capture.
AFIT.Batch™ - The facial imaging tool for off-line batch processing of images for quality/compliance assurance in large data bases - ideal for handling legacy material in the transition phase to new image standards (ICAO, Driving Licences, FIND, etc). Batches of facial images or whole databases are fed into AFIT.Batch™ and very rapidly sorted into compliant and non-compliant categories.
AFIT.ID™ - The ideal software for facial identity checking in watch list applications and 1:N identification tasks, where N is less than 1 million. A facial image is loaded into the AFIT.ID™ unit and the system then searches the database to find and match that face – typically in less than two seconds.
Colossus™ - Takes over where AFIT.ID™ leaves off. Systems can be configured to allow for up-grading from AFIT.ID™ to Colossus™ where required. Colossus™ is the ultimate facial biometric search engine, providing unprecedented speed and accuracy at multi-million scale. A target or suspect face is loaded up and the system then searches through many millions of faces in the database to find and match the target face, typically in less than three seconds.
