Stewart Hefferman - Chief Operating Officer
Stewart Hefferman
Stewart has day to day responsibility for OmniPerception with his primary goal of driving aggressive growth through increased direct sales activity and the development of strategic partnerships with complementary businesses. Prior to joining the team, Stewart was Chief Operating Officer at biometric and document security specialist TSSI Systems Ltd, and brings over 10 years experience in the biometrics market to OmniPerception. His previous experiences include the successful delivery of large governmental contracts and the creation of new revenue streams through strategic relationships and joint ventures in various countries. Stewart's academic qualifications include an MBA from Cranfield University and a Ph.D. from Glasgow University.
Charles Galambos PhD - Technical Director & Founder
Dr Charles Galambos
Dr Galambos is an acknowledged expert in the design and development of pattern recognition and image processing technology, including face recognition. He has overall technical responsibility for OmniPerception’s product range and technology portfolio, with special responsibility for software architecture. He was personally responsible for the creation of OmniPerception’s Magellan™ product. Dr Galambos has a B.Eng. (first class) in Information Systems Engineering from the University of Surrey. From 1991-92 his work with Siemens, Germany lead to the award of the prestigious Plessey prize. He was awarded a Ph.D. by the University of Surrey in 2000, for original work in High Level Vision.
Kieron Messer PhD - Research Director & Founder
Dr Kieron Messer
Dr Messer is an acknowledged expert in the application of pattern recognition and image processing technology including personal identity authentication, image/video database retrieval and automatic target recognition. He was personally responsible for the original development and productisation of OmniPerception's Affinity™ Face Recognition suite of solutions. Dr Messer has a B.Sc. (Hons) in Physics from Royal Holloway University of London and an MSc in Machine Intelligence from the University of Surrey. He was awarded a PhD by the University of Surrey for original work on Automatic Image Database Retrieval (1999). He is the author of more than 40 scientific papers in his chosen field.
